SWA upon instruction from clients, Brokers & Adjusters
following an incident/building loss, undertake the following:
Emergency Action
- Attend site, record and photograph damage
- Arrange for site to be secured/fenced off
- Arrange for Structural Engineers report if required
- Arrange for asbestos analysis report of required
- Liase with Dangerous Building Control Officer regarding making safe or subsequent demoliotion and obtain competitive tenders
- Advise clients of their duties in complying with CDM regulations
Phase I Action
- Prepare a comprehensive Schedule/Bill of Quantities of fire reinstatement work agreed with Adjuster. If required, arrange Architectural/Planning Services
- Invite and report on competitive tenders
- Arrange Pre-Contract Meeting with client/contractor/SWA
Phase II Action
- Monitor/project manage building reinstatment works
- Prepare interim valuations/payments
- Negotiate and agree Variations, Prime Cost and Provisional sum adjustment
- Prepare and agree Final Account
